Members from AILA’s Verification and Documentation Committee will discuss highlights from their November 9, 2022, liaison meeting with USCIS, IER, OCAHO, and CRCL. Discussion topics will include:

  • Recent IER enforcement activities related to candidate evaluation software systems used in recruiting, hiring, and/or screening applicants
  • Guidance on pre-employment screening of job applicants for employment authorization
  • Updating List of Acceptable Documents and Form I-9 completion for E/L spouses
  • SAVE processing backlogs
  • Update on proposed regulation allowing for alternatives to in-person physical document verification for Form I-9
  • USCIS efforts to modernize the employment verification process

This roundtable is available only to AILA members and not CLE eligible.
