Artificial intelligence (AI) has been a huge boon to the legal profession in helping to reduce costs, increase efficiency, and produce more reliable results. But there is a reason cybersecurity experts worry about “dark AI” crimes (spoiler alert: the most dangerous crimes involve “deepfakes”) and the decisions made by “black box” AI. To be competent, therefore, an attorney needs to understand not only how AI works and what its benefits are, but also the potential ethical drawbacks its use presents. Join our experts as they examine these topics and identify the ethics issues attorneys must consider when evaluating and using AI in their law practices.

Featured Topics:

  • How to Measure the Transparency and Trustworthiness of AI
  • How to Know Whether AI Technology Reflects the Biases of Its Developers and Trainers, Leading to Skewed Results
  • Ethics Issues Presented by the Use of AI in Law Practices
  • Developments Since the 2019 ABA Resolution Urging Courts and Lawyers to Address Emerging AI Legal and Ethical Issues
