C. Lynn Calder has practiced immigration law exclusively for over 25 years with Allen & Pinnix, P.A. in Raleigh, North Carolina. A trustee emeritus of the American Immigration Council, she has chaired AILA's Carolinas Chapter and the NC Bar Association Immigration Law Committee. Ms. Calder is a frequent speaker and writer for AILA and the NC bar, and has long been active in AILA nationally and in her Chapter. Listed in Best Lawyers since 1991, she has been a NC State Bar certified immigration law specialist since 1997, and has taught immigration law at Elon University and North Carolina Central University law schools.

Jeff Joseph is a Senior Partner/Director of Corporate Immigration & Employer Compliance at the Joseph Law Firm, PC. He is a graduate of the University of Denver, College of Law. He is a past Chapter Chair of the Colorado Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and a past elected director on the AILA National Board of Governors. Mr. Joseph currently serves on the national liaison committee between US Immigration and Customs Enforcement and AILA and as Chair of the AILA Federal Court Litigation Section. He has formerly served in numerous leadership positions in AILA including as Chair of the AILA National 2011 Annual Conference, the AILA National Liaison Committee with the headquarters of the Executive Office for Immigration Review for two years, two terms as chair of the AILA Amicus Committee, for three years as a member of the National US Citizenship and Immigration Services Liaison Committee and for three years as a member of the National Immigration and Customs Enforcement Liaison Committee. Mr. Joseph was on the Board of Trustees of the American Immigration Council from 2006-2012 and served as Chair of the Litigation Action Committee. Form 2009-2015, Mr. Joseph was selected by his peers for inclusion into the Best Lawyers in America in the field of immigration. And, in 2015 was named Best Immigration Lawyer of the Year in Denver by Best Lawyers. In 2006 through 2015, Mr. Joseph was named a Colorado Superlawyer by Colorado Superlawyer Magazine. 5280 Magazine also named Mr. Joseph a "Top Lawyer" in the area of immigration law for 2006 through 2015. Mr. Joseph has been a speaker at the annual AILA conferences every year since 2001, and he has also addressed numerous other regional and state immigration conferences.

Kirby Gamblin Joseph is the Managing Partner of the Joseph Law Firm, PC. She is a graduate of the University of Denver, College of Law. Ms. Joseph is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and served on the Executive Committee for the Colorado Chapter of AILA from 2002-2007. Ms. Joseph has also served on the National Board of Governors for AILA and as an Ambassador to the American Immigration Council. In 2010, Ms. Joseph was appointed to serve on the national AILA Ethics and Law Practice Management Committee. In 2012 she became chair of the national AILA Law Practice Management Committee and served in this capacity until 2016, working with attorneys from around the country on management, marketing, finance and technology issues that impact law firms. Ms. Joseph currently serves on the Finance Committee of the National American Immigration Lawyers Committee. Ms. Joseph is a frequent lecturer on immigration topics and law office management on a local and national level. She has been nominated by the Denver Business Journal, Wells Fargo Bank and the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) for the Outstanding Women in Business Awards. The Outstanding Women Business Awards recognize women for excelling professionally through innovation, perseverance, and leadership. Ms. Joseph was named a Colorado Super Lawyer by Colorado Super Lawyers Magazine in 2009 and 2010. Magazine also named Ms. Joseph a "Top Lawyer" in the area of immigration law in 2009 and 2010. In 2015 Kirby Gamblin Joseph founded Strategy4Success, a Law Practice Management Consulting group. Kirby provides consulting services to law firms interested in changing the way that they practice law.

Ruth Lozano McChesney was born in Mexico but immigrated to the United States when her father took a position as a medical doctor with a Texas Hospital. She was raised in a Spanish-speaking home and has resided in San Antonio since 1994. Ms. McChesney was the sole Managing Partner of the San Antonio based firm of De Mott, McChesney, Curtright & Armendariz, LLP (DMCA) from 2000 to 2014 during which time she spearheaded its growth from a staff of 10 in one office to a staff of over 80 in 3 cities. She Chairs the firm's Executive Board and functions as its CEO and Managing Partner. She is an elected council member and Immediate Past Chair of the Immigration & Nationality Law Section of the State Bar of Texas, and serves on the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) Board of Publications. She has previously served on AILA's Practice Management Board and as liaison to the Texas Workforce Commission for the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) Texas Chapter, as a Board Member of the Free Trade Alliance of San Antonio and on the Executive Board of the International Law Section of the San Antonio Bar Association. Ms. McChesney has also served on the working Board of Directors for the non-profit American Gateways (formerly PAPA, Political Asylum Project of Austin) in Austin. Primarily focusing on employment- and investor-based immigration matters, she represents individuals and organizations ranging from small start-ups to Fortune 100/Global 500 companies in various industries such as healthcare, restaurant, energy, construction, research, religion, technology, and education. Ms. McChesney is a frequently-invited speaker at legal events, universities, and other venues. Ms. McChesney is Board Certified in Immigration and Nationality Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

Cyrus Mehta, a graduate of Cambridge University and Columbia Law School, is the Managing Partner of Cyrus D. Mehta & Partners, PLLC in New York City. Mr. Mehta is the former chair of AILA's Ethics Committee; special counsel on immigration matters to the Departmental Disciplinary Committee, Appellate Division, First Department, New York; active member of the ABA Commission on Immigration and a board member of Volunteers for Legal Services and the New York Immigration Coalition. Mr. Mehta is the former chair of the Board of Trustees of the American Immigration Council and former chair of the Committee on Immigration and Nationality Law of the New York City Bar Association. He is a frequent speaker and writer on various immigration-related issues, including on ethics, and is also an adjunct professor of law at Brooklyn Law School, where he teaches a course entitled Immigration and Work. Mr. Mehta received the AILA 2011 Michael Maggio Memorial Award for his outstanding efforts in providing pro bono representation in the immigration field. He has also received two AILA Presidential Commendations in 2010 and 2016. Mr. Mehta is ranked among the most highly regarded lawyers in North America by Who's Who Legal - Corporate Immigration Law 2017 and as a star individual lawyer in New York by Chambers USA 2017 in immigration law.

Ruby Powers is the founder of Powers Law Group, P.C. located in Houston, focusing her practice on waivers of inadmissibility, asylum, deportation, and family- and employment-based petitions. She attended the University of Texas and the University of North Carolina School of Law. Ms. Powers has lived and studied in Mexico, Spain, Belgium, Turkey, and UAE, and speaks Spanish and French. She serves as the AILA Texas Chapter Advocacy Liaison and the AILA Law Practice Management Committee Chair (2015-2017). She is a frequent speaker and author on immigration law and law practice management topics.

Sarah K. Redzic is a Publications Manager at American Immigration Lawyers Association. In this role she has overseen the production of many of AILA's titles, including The Waivers Book, The Consular Practice Handbook, INA/CFR, and Litigating Immigration Cases in Federal Court. Prior to joining AILA, she worked in the legal publishing industry and practiced immigration law. She is a graduate of the University at Buffalo and holds an LL.M. from King's College London.

Reid Trautz is the Director of the AILA's Practice & Professionalism Center where he provides ethics guidance and management advisory services to members to help improve their businesses and the delivery of legal services to their clients. He is a nationally recognized advisor, author, and presenter on practice issues, including launching a law practice, business process improvement, law practice technology, and legal ethics. He currently serves as the primary staff liaison to the AILA Future of Immigration Practice Task Force.
