Global Migration Impact on U.S. Third Country National (TCN) Consular Processing: Visa and Admission Requirements of Alternate TCN-Friendly Countries

Join us for the next GMS Section Call on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at 12:00 pm (U.S. EST).

AILA GMS welcomes you to our first Quarterly Section Call of 2022, featuring a joint discussion with the AILA overseas chapters about the global migration impact on U.S. Third Country National (TCN) visa processing. The recent declaration of Russian nationals as “homeless” and the suspension of U.S. consular services in Russia has resulted in applicant U.S. visa cases from Russian nationals being automatically transferred to Poland. In addition, some TCN-friendly countries are no longer entertaining TCN processing due to consular staff shortages and COVID hotspots. Amid this continuing state of flux, join us for a lively discussion on the following topics:

  • U.S. Consulates with Suspended Consular Processing in Certain Countries
  • TCN-Friendly U.S. Consulates
  • Visa Requirements for TCN-Friendly Countries
  • Is COVID Impacting Admission Eligibility in TCN-Friendly Countries? And If So, What Are the COVID Compliance Protocols for Entry?
  • Best Strategies for TCN Processing

TCN jurisdictions that will be discussed include the following: Germany, Turkey, Poland, UAE, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, Singapore, and Vietnam. GMS International Associates from these jurisdictions will speak about local visa and admission requirements.

The section will discuss the above topics and provide updates before fielding questions from participants. Developed for AILA Global Migration Section members, this meeting is open to all AILA members.
