AILA maintains several communication tools including listservs and the Message Center. Most AILA members understand these tools are professional platforms and should be treated as such. Unfortunately, this minimum standard – to be civil to each other – has been breached on several occasions. These breaches have turned away members, reduced participation on some of AILA’s communication tools, and interfered with AILA’s ability to carry out its mission. Our panel of AILA leaders will discuss the Civility Code passed last April by the Board of Governors, which is set to rollout on July 1, 2018.
