Updated September 2022: This course was originally released in October 2018, but has undergone an annual process to review and update it for recent changes in the law. The most recent updates were made as of September 2022.

This self-paced CLE online course, eligible for up to 17.25 credits in 60-minute jurisdictions, provides over 20 hours of content for new immigration attorneys in 11 modules, combining a focus on the law itself as well as practice skills. The course includes immigration law content related to humanitarian and asylum issues, family, business, adjustment of status and consular processing, removal and relief, and naturalization and citizenship. It also features three modules which involve skills that are crucial to immigration practice: ethics, client management, and law practice management. Participants begin with an overview, followed by the ethics module. For the remainder of the course modules, participants are able to choose their preferred order. The course information is provided via video instruction, articles and practice advisories, sample forms and letters, and quick-reference resources such as charts, checklists, or templates. The course includes interactive elements such as discussion questions, exercises for hands-on practice, quizzes, and tests at the end of each module.

Each course registration allows one participant to take the course; multiple users are not allowed to take the course at the same time with the same login.
