This roundtable will discuss common issues regarding administrative closure in removal proceedings. It will also discuss the most recent EOIR Director's Memo, which provides guidance to EOIR adjudicators on DHS's enforcement priorities and prosecutorial discretion initiatives in light of the Mayorkas and Doyle Memos. The facilitators will share practice tips on how to use this memo to advocate for prosecutorial discretion for low enforcement priority cases and argue in favor of administrative closure.
This roundtable is hosted by the national EOIR liaison committee. It will discuss the most recent EOIR Director's Memo on guidance for EOIR adjudicators in light of current DHS enforcement priorities.
