This is a recording of an AILA University Video Roundtable hosted on March 31, 2021.

AILA University Video Roundtables are free learning opportunities for AILA members provided via a weekly schedule of live video programming for members to come together from across the country and world to discuss hot topics and network with colleagues in the field. Video Roundtables are part of AILA University programming and each session is hosted by faculty selected for their expertise.

AILA’s website contains a wealth of information and resources that can help you in your immigration law practice, but sometimes it can be difficult to know where to start. During this roundtable sponsored by AILA’s Membership Engagement Committee, a member of AILA’s Content Delivery Team will demonstrate how to best use the AILA website to perform effective legal research and how to find resources on the website that will help you succeed in your practice. Time will be reserved at the end of the presentation for a question and answer session.

Discussion Topics:

  • How to Use to Connect with Your AILA Community and Staying Up to Date
  • What Kind of Documents and Resources You Will Find on
  • Best Practices for Searching on

Discussion Leaders:

Laura Embree-Lowry, Online Editorial Associate, AILA National

Marla Samora, AILA Member, Oakland, CA

Tristan Gunn, Membership Engagement Chair, Chicago, IL
