About the Editors

Catherine L. Haight is the founding member of Haight Law Group, PC in Marina del Rey, CA. She has been practicing immigration law since 1989, specializing in business, entertainment, and sports-related cases. Ms. Haight obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley and J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law. She has authored numerous published articles on such subjects as PERM, H-1B visas, L-1 visas, and the immigration consequences of business mergers and acquisitions. She has been the invited speaker at numerous conferences and seminars on such subjects as sports and entertainment visas, legal ethics, and employer sanctions law.


Ksenia A. Maiorova received her Juris Doctor degree from the Berkeley School of Law in 2007. She is the Managing Partner of Maiorova Law Group, PLLC, based in Orlando, where she focuses her practice on immigration solutions for professional athletes and other sports industry professionals, as well as provides consulting services to attorneys. She is the founder and conference chair of the AILA Central Florida annual Sports Immigration Law Conference, the nation’s first CLE conference dedicated exclusively to sports immigration. Ksenia is a frequent speaker on sports immigration and extraordinary ability at various national conferences. She has been featured as a subject matter expert in national and international media. Ksenia is rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell, is rated Superb (10/10) by Avvo, and has been recognized as one of the Best Immigration Attorneys in Orlando by Expertise.com. Richard Tashjian has been practicing immigration law since 1985, with a focus on entertainment and sports. He worked closely with John Brown (drafter) and Larry Weinig (Deputy Commissioner of Adjudications) on the drafts of the O & P regulations and 1994 technical amendments. Mr. Tashjian’s firm, the Tashjian Law Group in Glendale, CA, is outside counsel to a number of major studios and entertainment agencies. Mr. Tashjian is a member of the California, DC, and Massachusetts bars.
