Adam Julian is the Director of International Student and Scholar Services and Outreach at Appalachian State University. In this role serves as the Primary Designated School Official of the university’s F-1 program, Responsible Office of the J-1 Program and oversees employment-based immigration services for faculty. Adam is the chair-designate of NAFSA: Association of International Educators’ International Student and Scholar Regulatory Practice committee. He is a frequent speaker at national and regional conferences for international student and scholar services professionals.


Tracy Schauff, Troy, MI


Tracy Schauff recognized in 2020 Best Lawyers, Tracy is a partner with Fakhoury Global Immigration, USA PC. She has more than 23 years of experience practicing employment-based immigration law, predominately with clients in the automotive, IT, academic, and medical fields. Tracy is also former Board Member of the American Council on International Personnel (now a part of SHRM), and a member of AILA, Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics and NAFSA: Association of International Educators. She is a frequent speaker at national conferences and conducts numerous presentations, webinars and training sessions to employers, student groups and professional organizations.


Scot A. Silzer, Orlando, FL


Scot Silzer has a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from Knox College, a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Illinois at Chicago, a Juris Doctor from DePaul University and a Master of Laws in Labor Law from Georgetown University. Mr. Silzer’s experience as a former Counsel, Human Resources, Florida Board of Regents, and General Counsel for the University of Central Florida and Metropolitan State University of Denver, has provided him with a wealth of knowledge concerning the operations of higher education, from students to executive leadership. For the past 20 years, Mr. Silzer has been in private practice as the founding attorney in the Orlando law firm SilzerLaw Chartered, with his focus on student and faculty immigration issues. He is board certified by The Florida Bar as a specialist in Immigration and Nationality Law.
