AILA has filed for MCLE and specialized credit in appropriate jurisdictions. To receive CLE credit, attorneys must record seminar attendance and the CLE code provided via webCLE. Eligible participants can receive up to 1.8 CLE credit hours.


The OnDemand Recording format does not qualify for CLE credit in the following jurisdictions: AR, MO, PR, and TN.

Michele Strickland is an associate with Powers Law Group in Houston, TX. She represents business and individual clients in all aspects of employment and family immigration law. She represents small to mid-size companies, colleges and universities, multi-national corporations, investors, and self-petitioning individuals. She presents frequently on a variety of immigration topics to businesses and community groups. Ms. Strickland is currently Co-chair of the Houston Section of the AILA Texas Chapter. She is a past Chair of the AILA Connecticut Chapter and has served as a Service Center Liaison.


Clayton Eugene Cartwright Jr. is the founding member of The Cartwright Law Firm, LLC, which specializes in the areas of international taxation and employee benefits. In the area of international taxation, he advises businesses, financial institutions, accountants and other financial professionals, and individuals on international taxation matters, emphasizing the intersection between immigration and taxation law. Such matters include expatriate taxation, cross-border employee transfers, withholding and reporting requirements, and permanent establishments. He currently is the Treasurer of AILA’s Rome District Chapter-EMEA, and served as the Chair of the Steering Committee of AILA’s Global Migration Section from 2016-2018.


Paul Philippe Bertoni is fluent in French and Spanish and can assist you in a wide variety of immigration cases.
