Update on ICE ERO and ICE OCC Policy and Practice (.PDF)
While U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) practices have changed dramatically under the new administration, these changes have not been uniform. Some offices have cited “national” policies that are not being applied nationally. In this advisory, the authors evaluate what is happening with prosecutorial discretion, administrative closure and recalendaring of cases, U visas, ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO), and how an overburdened ICE may (in some instances) be advantageous.
