The Visa Bulletin has undergone significant changes recently. The panelists on this basic session will provide clear information on how the Bulletin works, how the changes affect visa availability, and how backlogs at the National Visa Center and U.S. embassy are impacted by these changes. Whether it’s downgrading EB-3 to EB-2, availability for family-based applications, or just understanding how to read and digest the information in the Bulletin, this panel will help dispel the mystery.
Featured Topics
- How the Visa Bulletin Is Calculated
- What Is Retrogression, and What Are Its Effects?
- How Does Movement in Certain Categories Affect Visa Availability and Embassy Backlogs?
- When Is “Downgrade” an Option and How Is It Done?
- The Possibility of Changing Venue to a "Smaller" Post and/or Dealing with High-Volume Posts Where Appointments May Be Difficult to Obtain
