Most immigration attorneys are familiar with the B visa and the scope of permissible activities in the United States. Annotated “Special Purpose” B visas seem to be maligned by the State Department and hotly debated by practitioners and government officials, but are they still an option? The experts on this intermediate panel will discuss what happens when we go beyond the scope of the standard B-1 visa. They will provide guidance on how and when to use these “in lieu” visas for training, domestic service, after-sales service, and work on special projects in the United States.
Featured Topics
- Is the B-1 in Lieu of H-1B Still a "Thing"?
