Katie is the current Chair of the AILA Verification & Documentation Liaison Committee and has been a committee member since 2014. Katie obtained her law degree from the University of Miami School of Law and her bachelor’s from the University of Notre Dame.

Kevin Robert Lashus graduated from Stanford University in 1994 and received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Texas School of Law in 1998. Mr. Lashus is a Partner of the Austin office of FisherBroyles LLP. He is also Board Certified in Immigration and Nationality Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Mr. Lashus currently serves on AILA’s Department of Labor Liaison committee.

Maria “Marisa” Isabel Casablanca (“Marisa”) is a partner with the national firm Akerman with over 30 years of experience. Besides being the founding chair of the AILA Latin American Chapter, she has been a member of various AILA liaison committees, and the Florida Bar UPL committee. She is presently a member of the AILA Verification and Documentation Liaison committee. She handles all types of immigration processes from removal to employer-based issues.
