Tax questions regularly come up for clients as they relocate, change their immigration status, and create new businesses. Most immigration practitioners cringe at such questions, but our panel of experts will demystify some of the more common scenarios. They will discuss introductory issues at the crossroads of the U.S. tax and immigration laws for those in the United States on nonimmigrant visas and as lawful permanent residents, and they will address considerations for those creating a business or operations.

Featured Topics

  • Resident Alien, Nonresident Alien Tax Status, and the Substantial Presence Test
  • Tax Implications of Obtaining and Relinquishing Lawful Permanent Residence
  • Double Taxation and Tax Treaties
  • Balancing Business and Immigration Needs: Choosing Business Structures, Remote Employees Abroad, and/or Multinational Company Considerations
  • Immigration and Tax Trends Since the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act Was Signed into Law

Free Downloadable Seminar Recording Included with Live Registration Included with registration, participants in the live seminar will receive a free downloadable recording of the seminar.
