Regina "Gina" Germain has practiced asylum law for the over 20 years and is author of AILA's Asylum Primer, now in its sixth edition. She teaches asylum law and an asylum law practicum at the University of Denver Sturm College Of Law. She also consults privately with attorneys handling asylum cases. She served on the 2011 AILA Annual Conference Program Committee and was awarded the annual Public Service Award from the AILA Colorado Chapter in 2010. She also currently serves on the ABA's Immigration Commission's Advisory Committee.

David L. Cleveland, a staff attorney at Catholic Charities of Washington, DC, is a graduate of the University of Rochester and of Case Western Reserve University School of Law. He was the AILA Representative to USCIS Asylum Office, 2003-2006. He was the Chair of the AILA Asylum Committee, 2004-2005.
