James W. Austin is a partner at Austin & Ferguson, LLC, a firm that practices immigration and nationality law exclusively. Mr. Austin is an adjunct professor of immigration law at the University of Missouri, Kansas City. He is an AILA mentor in several categories and is a frequent speaker at regional and national conferences. Mr. Austin is the past chair of the Missouri/Kansas Chapter, National Benefits Center liaison committee and AILA’s paralegal certification task force.


Maureen O'Sullivan, Boston, MA

Maureen O'Sullivan is a partner in the Boston immigration firm of Kaplan, O'Sullivan and Friedman. A former AILA chapter chair, she teaches immigration law at Northeastern University School of Law. Ms. O'Sullivan received the AILA Mentor Award in 1994 and the AILA Elmer Fried Award for excellence in teaching in 2002.


Ylianna Perez-Guerrero, Los Angeles, CA

Ylianna Perez-Guerrero is a 1994 graduate of Santa Clara University and a 1997 graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Law. She is a member of the State Bar of California. Specializing in immigration, Ms. Perez-Guerrero is responsible for procuring permanent resident status and citizenship for the members of Unite HERE - Local 11 under the Legal Fund of Hotel and Restaurant Employees of Los Angeles.
