ABOUT THE EDITOR
Scott M. Borene leads the eight-person Immigration Group of the Borene Law
Firm, a global immigration law firm based in Minneapolis. He has more than 25
years’ experience handling employment-based immigration matters.
In 2008, Mr. Borene was recognized as one of the Top 17 Corporate Immigration
Lawyers in the World “most highly regarded” by other lawyers and in-house
corporate counsel. He is listed in
The Best Lawyers in America in Immigration Law.
In 2002 and 2004, Mr. Borene was selected as conference chair of The Global
Immigration Summit, the world’s largest conference of global immigration lawyers.
He recently completed a two-year term as worldwide co-chair of the International Bar
Association (IBA) Immigration Committee, the world’s largest global bar association
based in London.

Commendation for “Setting a New Standard in INS Headquarters Liaison.” He is a
graduate of Harvard University and Minnesota’s William Mitchell Law School. He
