2012 Fundamentals of Immigration Law Conference
• We have reached full capacity for the in-person event. •
This conference took place on October 11th and 12th at the AILA National Office in Washington, DC. View the complete conference program here.
This innovative program is a hands-on practicum designed for attorneys who are new to the complex area of immigration law. This conference features two distinct components:
- Substantive Sessions: Prior to the conference, participants will be given access to five pre-recorded seminars covering the basics of substantive immigration law: General Overview, Employment-Based Nonimmigrant Visas, Employment-Based Immigrant Visas, Family-Based Immigrant Visas, and Naturalization. Viewing these seminars will provide better context to the information provided at the live sessions in October.
- Live Sessions: On October 11-12, 2012, we will present two days of live workshop sessions. The program will be simultaneously webcast live over the Internet to remote participants. Each panel will provide attendees “real-life” case scenarios, blank forms, and PowerPoints to guide attendees through each topic.
Course Materials
Each attendee will receive an electronic version of AILA’s Forms & Fundamentals, 2012-13 Ed. This is designed specifically for new immigration practitioners who desire a step-by-step guide to completing some of the most common immigration forms. It offers practice pointers and checklists, along with the sample forms, so the reader can gain a better understanding of what needs to be considered when completing each form.
Your materials for this conference will be provided electronically. After registering for this conference you can find the following files in your digital library:
