Beginning October 2, 2017, all I-140 employment-based adjustment of status applicants (EB-1, EB-2, EB-3) whose applications were filed on or after March 6, 2017, will be subject to an in-person interview. Faculty

Lori Chesser is a senior shareholder and chair of the Immigration Department at Davis Brown Law Firm in Des Moines, Iowa. She is immediate past chair of the American Immigration Council's Board of Trustees. Ms. Chesser has served in many capacities with AILA National and the Iowa/Nebraska Chapter, including first Chapter Chair and Co-Founder. Currently, she is a member of the National Worksite Verification Committee. Ms. Chesser represents a wide variety of clients in employment- and family-based applications and is active in advocacy.

Jeffrey A. Devore is the managing partner of the Devore Law Group in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. He received his B.S. in Computer Science in 1986 from Bowling Green State University and his J.D. in 1989 from the Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Mr. Devore is Board Certified in immigration and nationality law by the Florida Bar, Martindale-Hubbell AV® rated, and a Florida Super Lawyer. He has litigated extensively against the U.S. Departments of State, Justice, and Homeland Security in federal court, and has written and lectured extensively on U.S. immigration and naturalization matters. Mr. Devore is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the United States Courts of Appeals for the Second, Ninth, and Eleventh Circuits, the U.S. District Courts for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida, the Northern District of Texas, and the Western District of Tennessee. He is a past chair of AILA's South Florida and Latin America and Caribbean chapters, and is a former member of AILA's Board of Governors. Mr. Devore currently serves on AILA's USCIS Field Operations Committee.

Alan B. Goldfarb is a partner with the law firm Davis & Goldfarb, PLLC, in Minneapolis, MN. He manages the firm's employment-based immigration practice, and he provides representation on a range of family-based, naturalization, asylum, and other immigration matters. Mr. Goldfarb is past Chair of the AILA Minnesota/Dakotas Chapter. He currently serves as Chair of the National AILA Ethics Committee. Mr. Goldfarb is a member of the Policy Committee for the Center for Victims of Torture, and he serves as consulting attorney with the Advocates for Human Rights. He earned his J.D. degree from the University of Minnesota and his B.A. degree from Columbia University.

Lynn Susser is a co-founder and the managing partner of Siskind Susser PC in Memphis, TN. She is a member of the national AILA CBP Liaison Committee and the AILA Distance Learning Committee, as well as MidSouth Chapter liaison to the Memphis USCIS Field Office. Ms. Susser is a member of ABIL, the Alliance of Business Immigration Lawyers. She has served as chapter chair, a member of the BOG, and on many other AILA committees over the past 20+ years.
